WL615 AND WT615 WHEEL WEIGHT ISSUE

TractorWeights.com / Revised 7-28-2025

It has come to our attention that some tractor models (that have the correct rim diameter and mounting hole pattern to accept our WL615 and WT615 weights) have an issue with the valve stem placement on some wheels.

Typically, the valve stem should be located between the wheel weight mounting holes as shown below in Figure 1. This allows the cut-out portion of the wheel weight to clear the valve stem and allows for easy access to the valve stem by the user when wheel weights are installed.

Correct valve stem placement in wheel:

Figure 1 Correct Valve Stem Placement

We see some models (notably Bobcat® models CT1025 and other Daedong models) where the wheel center MAY be offset to the valve stem in the rim and the valve stem lines up directly in-line with a wheel weight mounting hole in the wheel center:

This arrangement here (Figure 2) makes it essentially impossible to use the WL615 or WT615 wheel weights. If your wheel is like the wheels above (Figure 1) with the valve stem between the mounting holes, mounting the wheel weight should not be an issue. If it is like this one (Figure 2), there will be an issue mounting the wheel weight.

Figure 2 Valve Stem Placement Issue

Here below (Figure 3) is an image (weight and wheel) where the wheel center was installed so that the valve stem lines up with the square wheel weight mounting hole in the wheel: The weight will not mount.

These very popular wheel weights have been in production for a long time, and we are just now seeing this issue arise.

Please consider this information before purchasing one of our WL615 or WT615 wheel weights.

Note the correct valve stem placement in this wheel. WL615 or WT615 wheel weights will mount without issue.

Wheel Weight Mounting Hole Note: The square wheel weight mounting holes, in the wheels shown, are designed to accept carriage head round bolts as an aid to wheel weight installation. Not all wheels use square holes to mount wheel weights, some use round holes. Wheels without wheel weight mounting holes (square or round) are not usually designed to accept wheel weights.
